I suspect this is a common phenomenon, as the internet becomes a larger factor in taste-making and trend-setting. It's quite easy to find 'related' information about a band, or to read about their influences, so discovery happens in larger 'chunks' of new music.
And then, once you've got a nice-sized chunk of new music to digest, you're content for a while. Eventually you get hungry again and start foraging for something new...
I have been neglecting this Vox site. I just can't get into it. I appreciate the 'ultra-integrated' concept, but I just can't make myself use it. I think it's partly due to the slowness of the site. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is because I am in Japan?
